Mahoning Valley and NEOHIO Regions, SCCA are pleased to present the 2020 Nelson Ledges Time Trials and Track Day. This is the return of last year’s popular SCCA Time Trial competition event and this year we’re adding a Track Day for both Street and Race Cars. The new pavement at Nelson Ledges Road Course was a big hit and the facility is even better this year!

Notice to Participants: In light of the current COVID-19 situation, every attempt will be made to minimize the risks of exposure to the virus. New processes and procedures are being developed and will be put into place for events going forward.
Ultimately, it is your responsibility to assess the risk to you, both on-track and off, and to make the decision on whether or not to participate. If you are feeling unwell or are experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath please stay home. If you have been in contact with someone who has been experiencing these symptoms in the last two weeks, please stay home.
While on site please take the health and safety of your fellow participants, volunteers and staff into consideration and practice social distancing, wear a mask, and wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer frequently.
We currently plan to have Sunday’s Time Trial event include Time Attack and Track Sprint track sessions. Run groups will include Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced. There will be “enhanced coaching” based on Social Distancing Guidelines for Novices. Our goal is to give each group three 20 minute sessions on the full track plus several Track Sprint (like Solo 1) runs. This year we’re adding a Track Day on Saturday. We plan to provide run groups for street cars and race cars. Our goal is to provide maximum track time for every participant. This is a great opportunity for Time Trial competitors to “learn” the track prior to Sunday’s event. It’s also a great place for enthusiasts to get a lot of track time at a great value. Run groups and passing rules will be set by experience so everyone should be able to enjoy their day.
In the interest of being user friendly this year, we will not charge your credit card until the weekend of the event.

Event requirements
Track Day events run similarly to Track Night in America events but provide more track time in an all-day format. Minimum requirements are a safe car, valid drivers license and an approved helmet. SCCA membership is required and weekend membership can be purchased during registration for those who do not have full memberships. Full rules including helmet requirements can be found online at Track Day Rules.
SCCA membership is required for Time Trial competitors. Non-members can purchase a weekend membership during registration. Participants must hold a valid government issued Drivers License. Time Trials licenses can be obtained on line at Driver Eligibility or through the registration process. Drivers 17 and under must contact event officials prior to completing registration and get approval from the Event Lead. All drivers must have a helmet and suitable clothing as defined at www.timetrials.scca.com/pages/safety. Transponders are required for this event and can be rented during registration if needed. Car numbers (at least 8 inches high with a 1 1/2 inch stroke in a color that contrasts with the car color) are required. They can be temporary, created from tape or vinyl lettering.
