<p>Hello Great River Region members!<br> <br> We would like to hear from the membership about possible interest in a "Pro" class that could be added to our available list of classes.<br> <br> In the autocross program for many SCCA regions, they incorporate some type of "Pro" class. The primary purpose for this class would be for the highly skilled and experienced drivers to compete against each other for a special class award, instead of in the normal class that their vehicle would qualify for.<br> <br> The Pro class would be structured as an indexed (pax) class, similar to Novice class, or "bump" class that may be created at particular events. That is, those competing in Pro class would be scored on their pax time: the competitor with the lowest pax time would be the winner of the class. The Pro class would be considered as a full year class: those who compete in Pro class during the season would be eligible for year-end Pro class points and awards. Those who compete in Pro class would also still be eligible for the overall year-end awards, such as Driver of the Year (highest pax scoring driver).<br> <br> There are several possible ways that the times recoreded by Pro class could be arranged for scoring in a given event, but for starters, we'd like to hear from all of you your thoughts on a couple specific questions.</p>
