About this event
This “scavenger hunt” of Cape Cod is the 75th anniversary of the Cape Codders Courageous event. Simultaneously, it is the 51st Old Timers Rally, a low-pressure event that was introduced as an alternative to the 1975 TSD event on the occasion of the latter's 25th anniversary. You will be supplied with a map and clues to locations all over the Cape.The object is to determine from the clues where these locations are on the map, plan the shortest route to the locations and, once at the location, answer the question(s), all while driving the fewest miles possible. Each two person team chooses its own pace.The distance traveled will be at least 120 miles. Above all, it is hoped that you will have FUN and maybe learn some things about the Cape.
The Start: Will be at the IHOP parking lot, 790 Iyannough Rd. Hyannis, MA.
Pre-Registration is Friday 4/10 from 7-9 PM in the Four Points by Sheraton hotel lobby, 3800 State Hwy, Eastham, MA. Registration for those who have not pre-registered will be held on Saturday 4/11 at the IHOP Hyannis parking lot from 7:30 to 9:30 AM for completion of waiver and temporary membership forms as necessary. **If you could register Friday night, Saturday’s line will move faster.** Saturday morning after check-in and completing your odometer check, you will receive your map and clues, at which point you can begin the Rally.
Entry fee:
$55.00 per vehicle for SCCA Members and Past Old Timers Rally Participants, received on or before April 8, 2026.
$70.00 per vehicle for Non-SCCA Members, First Timers and all entries received after April 8, 2026.
Sorry, NO entries will be accepted on the day of the Rally. The Rally will be limited to 40 cars.
Banquet Dinner: Will be held at the Brickhouse Seafood and Grill, 4940 Mid-Cape Highway, Eastham, MA at 6:30 PM. It will be a buffet including chicken Parmesan, penne with marinara sauce, roasted pork loin, mashed potatoes, a vegetable, salad, warm rolls, soda and coffee. $35.00 person. There will also be alcoholic drinks available at the restaurant bar for cash.
If at all possible, we'd like you to attend the dinner. We've tried our best to contain both the lodging and the meal cost.
Lodging: Rooms for both Friday and Saturday nights are being held at the Four Points by Sheraton, 3800 State Highway, Eastham, MA until March 27, 2026. Note: Rally teams usually consist of one driver and one navigator. PLEASE, no more than three adults (individuals over 16) per rally car and no more individuals per car in total (adult or child) than the number of seat belts in the car.
Also, remember, this is a low-tech-event. Multiple cars sharing information or use of GPS, computers and other internet-connectable devices (PDAs, Smartphones, Tablets, etc.) to locate or answer questions OR to plot the shortest route between questions is NOT allowed
