Join us for Alabama Region's Warrior Curves GTA Rally! This Game-Tour-Adventure event is a "fun with cars" treasure-hunt style rally for teamwork and family enjoyment! The rally will take participants through a number of curvy, fun back roads through North Jefferson and Blount counties. The rally will be of the shortest-distance type, where there is no defined route to drive, but a number of stops are required, with instructions and maps on how to find the scored locations. Unlike many modern rallies, GPS, apps, and tech-use is encouraged. The team that can successfully visit each location, answer the provided questions, and do so in the shortest drive distance possible will be declared the winner. The available roads are all public paved roads, and locations to be visited are historical markers, businesses, and/or other interesting locations across the area.

Event requirements
A team consists of a driver and navigator, but other participants are invited to join in from the back seat for a family adventure! The drive is expected to take 3-4 hours, including stops for photos, searching for answers, and snacks. The event will conclude with lunch and trophy presentation at a restaurant in the Gardendale, AL area.
One or more smartphones with search, GPS and mapping apps are highly recommended. In-car navigation systems might also help, but maybe not! You will be required to take selfies and photos along the journey, texting them to a provided phone number for scoring. A clipboard and pen or pencil is recommended.
Scoring will be independent of the car you choose to drive. A fun sports car may increase the enjoyment for a nice Saturday drive, but will not necessarily help your score. This is not a speed event, and all traffic laws will be followed. Only a single competitive class will be offered. For this rally, there are no restrictions on use of maps, GPS, and cellphone apps. In fact, may the best app and navigation user win! This event will count as a regional event in the National GTA RoadRally Series.
The cost for registration is $40 for a team that includes at least one SCCA member. If not a member, a $15 weekend membership will be required for registration. If you enjoy having fun with cars, an annual SCCA membership, connecting you with other Alabama and national car lovers and events is recommended!
Adults will be required sign a waiver on-site during check-in, or show that you have an annual SCCA waiver. A separate minor waiver is required for any participant below Alabama's age of adulthood, 19yo. It doesn't matter if you live in another state. MINOR WAIVERS are critical and must be correctly completed prior to the event. A digital SCCA Minor Waiver must be provided for each minor (person under the age of 19 in Alabama regardless of where you live).
