Arizona Region 2023 #8 Rallycross , November 18-19, 2023

Location:  Camp Verde Equestrian Center :1495 E Hideout Arena Ln, Camp Verde, AZ 86322

Event Description: Rallycross event for the SCCA Arizona Region as well as Camp Verde Equestrian Center. We will be doing a skills drill session in the afternoon on Saturday. The skill being practiced will be decided on the day by a vote during registration. You get to decide what skill you want to improve! Look into the Saturday Practice Schedule for more details. 

Entry Limit: This event will be limited to a 30 car limit for each day. Entries over that limit will be put on a waitlist.

Saturday Practice:

Pre-registering for Sunday's RallyCross will include 2 free practice runs for Saturday. 

3 Runs: $30

7 Runs: $65

1 Additional run: $10

You will be limited to an initial maximum purchase of 7 runs. If your session's Schedule will allow for more runs you may consider purchasing more. 

*If you will only be driving on Saturday you will still be required to hold an SCCA membership or purchase an SCCA weekend membership

SCCA weekend membership : $20 

Sunday RallyCross:

Pre-registration: $70 members   $85 non-members (includes weekend membership)

Week of event Pre-registration: $80 members   $95 non-members (includes weekend membership)

Onsite registration or payment accepted only for specators and weekend memberships. Prices will increase the week of the event as well as for day-of registration.

All persons driving in a car at this event must have an SCCA membership, either full or weekend. Ride-alongs are free but are required a weekend membership as well as signing a waiver.

Everyone (including spectators) is required to sign a waiver.

All entrants are required to work at the event.

Penalties: Penalties per the 2022 SCCA Rallycross rules.

Saturday Practice Schedule:

Saturday is a RallyCross practice event. Come test out your car, the surface or yourself. Timing equipment will be up and working but times will not be compiled. 

Pre-registration includes 2 free practice laps!

Registration and Course Set Up/Tech Inspection: 7:00 am- 8:45 am

Driver's Meeting: 8:45 am - 9:00 am

Morning Session : 9:00 am - 11:30 am

Break: 11:30 am - 12:30 pm 

Afternoon Session: 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Break: 3:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Skills Drills: 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

**Sessions will run for the full time with drivers able to go back to their pits for vehicle maintenance/tweaks. If during a session all of the drivers have finished all of their runs we will give all drives a 15min warning to purchase more runs otherwise we will call course workers back in and end the current session.**

Sunday Competition Schedule (Times are approximate):

This will be different than Saturday's practice course and will consist of 6 cumulative timed runs.

Morning Session: 9:00 am - 11:30 am

Break: 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Afternoon Session: 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Course Cleanup: 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Venue Facilities: The venue will have a dedicated pit/camping area. They are requiring a $20 per vehicle charge for two day competitors (this includes trailers and vehicles on trailers) for parking as well as camping. There are bathroom and water facilities onsite. Participants/Spectators only driving for a single day on Saturday/Sunday will be required to pay $10 for the Pit area.

For this reason it is highly recommended to carpool to keep costs down for competitors and spectators. 

This is a very well cared for equestrian arena and we are pleased to be working with them to bring this event to the area. There are horses and other operations present on the facility please be respectful and leave the site that way you found it. 

Event requirements

  • A Valid drivers license is required to race.
  • SCCA Membership is required.  You may purchase a yearly membership through the SCCA or click 'CONTINUE' to purchase a weekend membership for this event. Weekend memberships can be applied to a full membership after the event.
  • Helmets are required. If you don't have a helmet meeting one of the following standards, loaner helmets are available: Helmet Requirements
  • Loaner helmets may be available. But they are first come first served and therefore not guaranteed
  • You car must pass a basic safety/tech inspection. Make sure your battery is secured & positive terminal is covered, brake pedal is firm, throttle moves freely, wheels have minimal play, and car is empty of any loose objects, including the spare tire, subwoofers, amps, etc.
  • Rallycross rules for safety, classing, etc. can be found here.
  • This is a work/run type of event, this means that it is a requirement for each driver to work to some capacity during the run group they are not driving in. The Driver will sign up for one of the roles listed in the course worker assignment sheet present at check-in/registration the morning of the event days.
  • If you would not like to work the event, there are a few options available to you.
    • 1- find somebody that is willing to take your spot at the event working for the run group you are not running in
      • if the individual that you chose to work for you is not an SCCA member they will need to have a weekend membership purchased for them. 
    • 2- Pay the event organizers to hire a worker to work your position. There is a "course work exception fee" that must be paid 7 days before the first day of the event. (1 fee payment only covers one day. if you intend on driving both days and would like to not course work you will need to add 2 quantities to your cart) This fee is not refundable 
  • If you choose to shirk your duties as course worker without utilizing one of the aforementioned alternative listed above. You will have a "course work waiver fee" added to your cart and will be put on a probationary period for the following event. 
    • 1 missed assignment - fee/ warning
    • 2 missed assignments - fee/ suspension from participation for the following event
    • 3 missed assignments - fee/ suspension for a 3 month period
  • We don't want to utilize these measure and are more than willing to work with many circumstances. Please keep an open pathway of communication and we can come to a solution for all involved.
