Welcome to the Political Rally for Democracy, presented by St. Croix Valley Indivisible and sanctioned by Land O Lakes region of the Sports Car Club of America. Indivisible welcomes all people from all political backgrounds to join us in a brisk scenic drive in the St. Croix River Valley. The rally is held on open roads, always below the speed limit. We will end with a rockin' house party with chili, beverages, and (if weather permits) bonfire in Scandia where you can respectfully discuss current events, meet your neighbors, and make friends you didn't know you always needed! If you enjoy this event, we encourage you to join SCCA, where you will get discounted entry fees for many more like it.

What's a rally?
Yes, it's a pun. It's not a protest; it's a precision driving competition! Each car will have two people, a driver and a navigator. At sign-in you will receive a simple paper roadbook that looks a lot like MapQuest/Google Maps directions. The roadbook will give you the time at which you must pass certain GPS checkpoints. Cars leave on minute intervals and will have a chance to check their clock and odometer accuracy at the beginning of the rally. All you have to do is follow the route instructions and pass the checkpoints at the right time!
Following the Course
Every route instruction will be accompanied by a precise odometer mileage. Most course instructions will be simple and straightforward, like "Right on 1776 St." A couple turns will be determined by your answers to simple questions about American government. Example: Turn at Stop Sign, Washington Ave. "We the ____" "Billionaires (LEFT)" or "People (RIGHT)"
Entry Fee & Sanction
Entry fee is $40 per car. Discounted entry fee of $25 is available if at least one person in the car is a current SCCA member. We ask you to bring an optional contribution of $10 to help support democracy in our communities! Entries will be capped at ten cars. Political Rally competition is sanctioned through Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) as a Social Rally.

Technical Assurance:
Before the rally, you are responsible for ensuring the following are in order.
Headlights (high and low beams) and parking lights
Taillights and brake lights
Horn, windshield wipers and directional signals
Rear-view mirror
Foot brakes and parking brake
Tires (inspect for condition of sidewalls as well as tread depth)
Seat belts, securely installed for the driver and navigator
Safety triangle (optional)
First Aid Kit (optional)
Tow Rope (optional)
Fire Extinguisher (optional)
