In our two day event, you'll get to do skills competitions on Day 1 and a full autocross on Day 2. Prizes will be awarded for the skills competitions, the autocross, and for the event overall.

Competitors will be grouped in two PAX index classes (karts not allowed for prizes): Open and Novice, with prizes for each group.

Make sure to stick around after running is over on Day 1 for food and beverages!

Cost: $100 for the weekend for SCCA members and a $20 weekend membership for non-members.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 1 - Two simultaneous timed courses will be set for the skills challenges.
* Slalom skills
* Sweepers & Offsets skills
Day 2 - Full site usage for a challenging and flowing course

No Cash or Credit Card Payment will be accepted on-site!

Your card will be charged 24 Hours before the event. You must cancel by 7 am on the event day to ensure full refunds. All other exceptions are subject to the discretion of the Board. Prompt communication is the most important factor.

Race Day Schedule:
7:15am to 8:15am     Registration
7:20 am to 8:20 am     Worker Assignment
7:15 am to 8:40 am     Tech Inspection
7:30 am to 8:55 am     Course Walking (No new course walks can begin after 8:50 am, except for Morning worker staff)
8:40 am             Novice Course Walk
9:00am             Drivers Meeting & 1st Heat Worker Check-in
9:15 am              First Car Off

We typically finish up around 5:00 pm.

There will be a hard registration cut-off at 8:15 am on the day of the event. You are *required* to be prompt if you expect your pre-registration to hold! Showing up after that doesn't allow you time to walk the course. Drivers not familiar with the course often get lost and slow the event down, which isn't fair to others, and the waitlist is filled starting at 8:15

Entry Fees:
$100 for Chicago Region SCCA Member Registration
$120 for Non-Member Registration -- Cost Includes SCCA Weekend Membership

Event Requirements

Basic Event Guidelines and Safety

  1. A valid driver's license is required to participate; please bring your driver's license with you to registration.  Temporary permits are allowed if the parent/guardian remains present while driving.
  2. Please note that our insurance doesn't allow tippy vehicles like SUVs. Please consult the 2026 SCCA Solo Rulebook section 3.1 and the beginning of Appendix A.  Regardless of the listing, all vehicles may be subjected to the Height/Width check by the SSS's on-site.
  3. Before running, all vehicles must pass safety inspection on the following points: working seat belts, throttle return action, secure battery, *no* leaks, adequate brake pedal, tire condition, tie-rods, and wheel bearings.
  4. Remove all loose items, snap-on hubcaps, detachable fender skirts, speaker boxes, center caps, and trim rings.
  5. Closed-toe shoes are required (no sandals or flip-flops) while driving.
  6. Helmets are required (Snell M2010/SA2010 or newer). By the end of 2026, new rules will be in effect for Snell certificates. Please see the link here for what is still accepted in 2026. 2026 Helmet Certification. We have a limited supply of loaner helmets for the events. If you don't know your helmet's rating, you can look inside for a sticker; you may need to pull back some of the padding to locate the sticker. If you want to purchase a helmet, you can look online at places like Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies.
  7. All adults present at the event site (whether they are participating or not) must sign the waiver when they arrive.
  8. Minors must have a signed waiver, which must be printed in color. This process must be done online before the event. Please look at the SCCA instructions on how to fill out these waivers and the SCCA Minor Waiver Instructions. Go to My.SCCA.COM to either login or create a guest account. Under the tab at the top called Online Store, you will see a licenses and waivers tab where the minor waiver needs ot be filled out.  If on a learner's permit, the parent can either ride along with the student or give written permission to have an instructor ride with them instead.
  9. The complete 2026 SCCA Solo Rulebook is available on www.scca.com; other local rule changes will be posted in the supplemental regulations on our website.
